The Overtures were most honoured to be the first band 'ever' to be inducted into Liverpool?s Beatleweek Hall of Fame. This new and prestigious award, presented to Dennis Pugsley, at The Adelphi Hotel, Liverpool, on Friday 22nd of August, was in recognition of an outstanding contribution to the Beatleweek event. The event, held every August, is now recognized as the biggest and most important Beatle festival on earth, and it has been running, with ever growing success, since 1983. The Overtures have participated in the event since 1995 and are very proud to have such an award bestowed upon them. The Overtures would like to thank four lads who shook the world... Mr. Billy Heckle, Mr. Ray Johnson, Mr. Dave Jones and Mr. Neil B. Overtures Meet Pattie!

It was indeed a great thrill to meet the lovely Patti Boyd (aka Harrison / Clapton) at a private party in Wandsworth on May 20th, 2005. Patti danced for much of the night and was happy to recount some fabulous memories with us all (surprise... Patti's favourite 60's groups were The Byrds and The Band!) A lady who has earned much respect in the usually 'tell-all' world of pop for her quiet dignity and loyalty, it was wonderful to find her apparently so at ease and conversational with the band. We all found her to be a class act. But let's face it ...none of us are in the least bit surprised are we?

Michael Burke

In Loving Memory of Micky Burke. 1st March 1944 - 27th January 2005. We will all miss you Mick, we will never forget you.
